1885 Illustrated Parallel Family Bible

This is a extensive illustrated and fully 'loaded' Antique Family Bible in a GOOD - VERY GOOD condition. This huge 1885 Bible has a gold-letter decorated leather cover, hundreds of illustrations, pages in color (including color maps) and gorgeous full page black and white engravings (including by Gustave Doré). Besides a verse-by-verse parallel presentation of both the Authorized Version and the Revised Version, this Bible contains many additional sections with (among others) the Apocrypha of the Old Testament, an Extensive Concordance and Psalms in Metre, Bible History, Translation History, and just about everything else you can think of, including even a Holy Land coin reference and a section on musical instruments. This is a very complete Antique Family Bible!

The book is in an overall good - very good condition with the hinges boards spine and text block all still attached and mostly solid. As this is all original and about 125 years old, the book shows some wear but nothing out of the ordinary for its age. It should be noted that some of the pages have some rips and other slight damages but nothing that will interfere with reading, studying and above all enjoying this antique piece of history.
