An extensively illustrated and comprehensive, antique Holman's edition of 1875 family Holy Bible. Over 1300 illustrations, including many full page Gustave Doré engravings and maps and charts (even a large fold-out one). As per the title page: "The HOLY BIBLE Translated Out of THE ORIGINAL TONGUES  with the APOCRYPHA, CONCORDANCE and PSALMS. Comprehensive Bible Dictionary...complete history of each book of the Bible, beautifully illustrated, cities of the Bible...Jewish and Egyptian antiquities; Biblical scenery; manners and customs of the ancients natural history; Bible aids for social prayer; a history of the Jewish worship, etc, over one hundred thousand marginal references. A concise history of all religious denominations...the whole embellished with thirteen hundred engravings on steel, wood and in colors." The family register pages have not been filled out!

This Bible is in a overall  GOOD  condition. There are NO ripped or missing pages, just a slight occasional light stains/browning of the paper as to be expected. No writing. This is the original binding (so handle with care!) but the hinges are in a fairly good condition and not split. We noticed a few loose pages. There is some wear to the edges of the covers and areas on the leather.
