ca 1860 Unused 'AS-NEW' Color Illustrated Bible, brass corners and clasps

This exceptionally beautifully illustrated (early) Antique Family Bible with pristine ornate brass corners and fully functional metal clasps is in an 'AS-NEW' EXCELLENT condition. By far one of the most beautiful Bibles of the second part of the 19th century that I have ever seen!

It has a number of very attractive, very rare (for this publishing date) and pristinely preserved color lithographs of original paintings: "with a series of coloured plates from original paintings by F. Goodall, Miss Gow and P.R. Morris and lithographic transfers on steel plates from pictures of eminent masters, coloured maps, and family register"

Apart from the Old and New Testament, there is a beautifully (color) decorated, unmarked family portrait section, a Chronological Index, Biblical Cyclopedia and various tables.

The family section pages (marriage, births, deaths...) are CLEAN (never written on) and EXCEPTIONALLY beautiful !!

This Bible is in an ABSOLUTE EXCELLENT (like just NEW) pristine condition. The binding is has been professionally strengthened and is solid. The book can be open and closed without any problems or concerns. There is NO writing. The book itself covered in a heavy brown leather with rounded beveled edges, Complete and undamaged metal brass corners and two brass clasps. All plates have tissue guards in excellent order. No missing pages nor any staining nor any writing, very clean paper, no coloring or age spots. This large European HOLY BIBLE is in super condition with no damages, only a few very minor age-related scratches on the covers but they don't disturb the quality of this antique Bible.
