Extensively gold decorated covers with the text 'Holy Bible' and various decorations, a gold gilt spine and gold gilt pages. This very comprehensive Bible presents the complete text of the Old and New Testaments (King James Version) and Apocrypha. Additionally this Bible is literally 'overstocked' with additional study material, like backgrounds essays on the history of the Bible books, cities of the Bible, Jewish and Egyptian antiquities, Biblical scenery, manners and customs of the ancients, history of Jewish worship, Biblical antiquities, a comprehensive Bible Dictionary, Concordance, Psalms and much more... This Bible received the Centennial Award Medal at the International Exhibition in Philadelphia on September 27, 1876.

This Bible is in a overall VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT condition. There are NO ripped pages, just a very slight age related yellowing of the paper and no foxing. No writing. The binding, covers and spine have been professionally restored, so the hinges are in an excellent condition and not split, The Bible can be used and opened very easily. No loose pages. There is some wear to the edges of the covers and areas on the leather.
