1608 The Geneva "Breeches" Bible
in an overall decent condition printed by Robert Barker, printer to
the King in London. Misses the general title and start
with the first page of Genesis. Seems complete from there on,
including the Apocrypha, the New Testament Title page, "the Fumme of
the whole Scripture", "Certain queftions and anfweres touching the
doctrine of Predeftination" (3 pages), "The Names and order of all
the Bookes of the Olde and New Testament", followed by the complete
New Testament, ending at the last page of Revelation with the
colophon. Engraved/illustrated first chapter initials and various
colophon/engravings.

This QUARTO sized Geneva Bible is in
an overall FAIR-GOOD and USABLE condition. Complete Bible (except
for the general title and OT prelims as mentioned above). Various
defects, like some torn pages (esp in the front of the Bible), rough
edges, some staining, some writing. Expect some damages throughout
this Bible. Binding is holding well and would allow for (careful)
daily use. Cut short to upper margins, some pages headings are
shaved off. Rough covers and rough/basic repair to spine by adding
an extra piece of leather. Still an attractive Geneva Bible. See the
many pictures.
