A very well preserved an extensively illustrated
Pictorial Self-Pronouncing edition of a Family Holy Parallel Bible
of the early 1890ies, including
numerous full page Gustave
Dore engravings, chromolithographs (color engravings) and
color maps.
Gold gilt pages and fully functional (silver?) clasps. This large
and comprehensive family preserved Family Bible has
intricate gold-embedded decorated covers (depicting scenes of the Bible
including the last supper and the temple) and spine, all with the gold-letter text "Holy Bible",
"Pronouncing Parallel Bible" and "The Old and New
Versions in Parallel Columns - 2000 illustrations". The Bible text is
both the King James and the Revised Version for the Old and New Testament
arranged in parallel
columns for ease of comparison.
