In a quite remarkable condition: an 1883 gorgeously illustrated explanatory Family edition of the Holy Bible, including numerous full page engravings (including many by the renowned Gustave Dore) and chromolithographs (color engravings) and maps. This Bible presents the King James Version for the Old and New Testament and the Apocrypha and also a separate/additional 1881 Revised Version for the New Testament. This gold-plated Family Bible has gold decorated (showing Bible scenes) embossed leather covers and spine, all with the gold-letter text "Holy Bible". It is in ready to be used condition with blank, never written on, family registry pages.

This Bible is in a VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT condition. The Bible's binding, spine and cover are in an solid shape and this Bible can be used on a daily basis (as always handle with care!). All pages are present, no writings, some very minor tears, some age related coloring and light foxing. Original family pages. The covers and spine show minor scuffs and some wear, somewhat rough corners on the covers.
