The Big Quil Cabin - Vacation Rental:

Cabin for two on the River in the Woods on the Olympic Peninsula.
Bed and Breakfast - River Cabin Rental Quilcene Olympic Peninsula, Washington

If you are looking for a REAL private, romantic and scenic get-away/vacation rental in the foothills of the Olympic Mountains on the River all by yourself - do not look further - this cabin has all that you are looking for! Including a fresh, homemade breakfast!

This small cabin is located in absolute privacy on the edge of the Olympic National Forest and bordered only by the Big Quilcene River and the undisturbed woods. No neighbors, no other cabins or houses. While sitting on the porch swing you can hear the sound of the river and look into the forest of all, big trees. A short walk takes you to a private beach where you can fish or even (if you dare) take a swim. You can hike a short trail through the woods along the river and to a waterfall. Or (if you like a longer walk) hike the trails of (almost next door) Mount Walker (2 mile hike to a fascinating view of Puget Sound and even Seattle), Falls View campground (trails to a view of the falls and along the river) and numerous shorter and longer trails in the Olympic Mountains.

Footbridge across the Biq Quilcene river - exclusive access to the cabin

This vacation rental cabin is located on a private property on the west-side of the Big Quil River. The only access is over a footbridge (the only bridge to cross the river in miles) and short (about 300 yards) walk. As soon as you cross the river you are by yourself because nobody else has access to the land on the West of the river. Plenty of woods, wildlife and river to enjoy. To the south the cabin borders the undisturbed woods of the Olympic National Forest, to the west the foothills of the Olympics, to the north our private property and to the east is the Big Quilcene River. More private and pristine is almost impossible to find!

You are close to all the outdoor features of the Hood Canal, Quilcene, Brinnon and the East Olympic Peninsula, like Quilcene Bay for water sports, kayaking or fishing (seasonal clamming, shrimp, crab, salmon etc) or Port Townsend to the North or Hoodsport and Lake Cushman to the South (each about a 45 minute or so drive).

And you are within striking distance of Hurricane Ridge in the Olympic National Park (about 1.5 hour drive), Sequim (about 45 minutes) and Port Angeles (about 1 hour).
